Rabbanit Yemima Mizrachi: Shoftim

Everybody has luggage.

At the airport they ask you, “Is this yours? Did you pack it yourself?” But if that suitcase is a metaphor for life, Then yes, sometimes your baggage is too heavy to carry.  Because of the accumulated burden, sorrows, and waiting for good things to finally happen.  The baggage is so heavy you can’t feel your hands anymore.  You can’t feel yourself. And that’s a problem. Because we’re approaching Rosh Hashanah. The Day of Judgment! Your heart has to move…  But when you’re in emotional exile, unable to feel, worn down,  What can you do?

Rabbanit Yemima has found an original, creative solution for you, and didn’t even forget to include a little vignette about a suitcase (a literal one!)
